The Perfect French Press Recipe for Tonino Lamborghini Ground Coffee

🛠️ What You’ll Need:

 

  • French Press (any size; 350ml / 12oz recommended for one cup)
  • Tonino Lamborghini Ground Coffee
  • Fresh filtered water (just off the boil, around 92–94°C / 198–202°F)
  • Measuring scale or spoon
  • Stirring tool (preferably wooden or plastic)
  • Timer
  • Mug & optional milk or sweetener

📏 Ratio Guide (Golden Standard):

Coffee-to-water ratio: 1:15

  • Example: 20g of coffee for 300ml of water
  • Or: 1.5 tablespoons of coffee per 6oz (180ml) water

 

🧑🍳 Step-by-Step Brewing Instructions:

 

1. Preheat the French Press

Pour hot water into your French Press and swirl for a few seconds to warm it up. Discard the water before brewing. This keeps your extraction stable.

 

2. Add Tonino Lamborghini Ground Coffee

Use a medium-coarse grind (our pre-ground coffee is perfectly calibrated for French Press use).

Add your measured dose to the bottom of the carafe.

 

3. Pour Hot Water (First Half)

Start your timer. Pour half of the hot water evenly over the coffee grounds, ensuring all of them are saturated.

Example: If using 300ml of water, pour 150ml first.

 

4. Bloom (Wait 30 Seconds)

Let the coffee “bloom” for 30 seconds. This releases gas and enhances flavor. You’ll see bubbles rise—this is the sign of freshness.

 

5. Add Remaining Water + Stir

Slowly pour the remaining hot water to fill the French Press. Stir gently with a wooden or plastic spoon (avoid metal). This ensures even extraction.

 

6. Place the Lid & Steep

Place the plunger lid on top, but do not press yet. Let it steep for 4 minutes.

💡 For a bolder, richer cup (especially with Red Blend or Black Blend), steep up to 5 minutes. For smoother results, aim for approximately 4 minutes.

 

7. Press Slowly & Serve

 

After steeping, press the plunger down slowly and evenly using steady pressure.

Pour immediately into your cup to avoid over-extraction.
